The parish church of St. Stephen in pipe

Tube is a village in the Hallertau and a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Rohrbach Pfaffenhofen with around 180 inhabitants. Tube is a field name for the Middle High German rör, which means a lot of cane or reed. The town is dominated by its farms and the cultivation of hops.

Geographically location

Tube is in the tertiary hills of Hallertau, west of the Ilm.

History

The place was in the area rule always to Hofmark Rohrbach.

The Church of St. Stephen was on the southern outskirts newly built in 1879 in Ludovicianischen style. In pipe pastor nail had from 1790 to 1803, he was a member of the Academy of Sciences and researchers of the older Bavarian history.

On 1 January 1972 pipe was incorporated into the municipality of Rohrbach.
