The Rohrbach (Saar ) Bahnhof is on the southern edge of the village development Rohrbach district of St. Ingbert in Saarland.

Formation

The incipient in Schwarzenacker Würzbachbahn was to Hassel opened in 1866 and a year later bound in a direct way to St. Ingbert. Here, between Hassel and St. Ingbert the so-called Hasseler tunnel was created. The latter had, however, proved to be unsuitable from a strategic perspective, why said distance between Würzbach and St. Ingbert was realigned. This Rohrbach should get a train station.

The latter was opened with the inauguration of the Ring line on September 1, 1895 October 1, 1903 with the opening of the Strategic Railway ( Glantalbahn / Münster am Stein- Rohrbach (Saar) ) increases. Recent extensive renovations to its station buildings were extended in 1958. With the scheduled recording of the ICE3 train traffic Mannheim- Paris 2008, the western exit curve was " defused " and the station platform runs higher and about 50 meters to the east. The station building was closed after took place there has long been no more ticket sales.

Until the closure of numerous industrial plants along the railway line in the area Rohrbach there was a freight station and a number of industry connections, which are now all closed down, most recently in 2008. Besides the three persons platforms, there are two construction tracks.

In the area of the railway station ticket machines are out of any other services. The extending approximately in the east-west direction line can be undercut by a pedestrian tunnel, underpass, means the platform is done through a separate tunnel, the only local direction, however, leads ( to the north ), so for rail travelers of the middle station platform, go to the south, the crossed tracks twice and stairwells must be climbed twice.
