Roland Claus

Roland Claus ( born December 18, 1954 in Hettstedt ) is a German politician of the Left Party. Previously, he was a member of the SED and the PDS. Was from 1998 to 2002 and since 2005 he is a member of the Bundestag. Claus was also a member of the GDR People's Chamber, Member of the Landtag of Saxony- Anhalt and an unofficial member of the East German secret police.

Biography

In the GDR

In the Federal Republic of Germany / Since 1990

From 1990 to 1997 he was state chairman of the PDS in Saxony- Anhalt. From March to October 1990 Claus was a member of the first freely elected People's Chamber of the GDR for the PDS.
