Roland Koch ( born October 28, 1952 in Osnabrück ) is a German football coach.
He completed his studies in physical education teacher at the Sports University in Cologne in 1982 as the top of his class with a grade of " very good". In recognition of his achievements he the August Beer plaque was it presented. During his studies in 1981 he was cooking the DFB football teacher's license.
Koch began his coaching career as a youth coach at FC Cologne 1. In the carriage Christoph Daum from assistant coach to head coach of the 1st FC Cologne in September 1986 Koch was his assistant. According to Daum's dismissal in June 1990 Koch became coach of the then second division side VfL Osnabrück in his native city. He has already been re-opened in October of this year. As Christoph Daum a month later coach of VfB Stuttgart was, he took cooking game first as observers back to his side. Since 1993 was a cook practically solid assistant coach Daum and accompanied him in consequence to Besiktas Istanbul (2x), Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Fenerbahce Istanbul (2x), when returning to first FC Cologne and finally to a brief episode in 2011 at Eintracht Frankfurt. Only 2002 - 2003 Koch went his own way, when he was coach of the Iranian club Esteghlal Tehran, while the thumb FK Austria Wien trained.
For the season 2011/12 he went - without thumb - a third time as an assistant coach to Besiktas Istanbul. Since the summer of 2012 without a job, he wanted to try it by its own account again as head coach of a German association, but was first again worked as an assistant coach in the Turkish League, where he has since January 2014 in Kayseri Erciyesspor under contract.
