Roland Kun

Roland Kun ( born May 6, 1970) is an nauruischer politician and Member of the Nauruan Parliament. He is the son of former President Ruben Kun and cousin of former Justice Minister Russell Kun.

Career

After schooling in Nauru Kun completed his law studies at the James Cook University in Townsville (Queensland ). In 2003 he was elected for the constituency Buada the Nauruan Parliament and since 2004 Minister of Justice of the country. He is also manager of the Hotel Menen Hotels Meneng and previously held administrative positions in the Nauruan section of the University of the South Pacific, as well as Air Nauru and in the fisheries authority.

On November 10, 2007, he met with Health Minister Kieren Keke and Industry Minister Frederick Pitcher back after a falling out with Foreign Secretary David Adeang. In 2007, when President Scotty from Marcus Stephen was ousted by no-confidence vote on December 19, Stephen appointed him to the Department of Justice and Minister of Education.
