Roland Riese

Roland Riese ( born July 29, 1960 in New House, County Bentheim ) is a German politician ( FDP). He was from 2003 to 2013 Member of the Lower Saxon Landtag.

Life and career

After high school studied giant 1978-1984 Music at the Northwest German Music Academy in Detmold. His studies he finished with three final exams for music teachers. Giant was a member of the Students' Parliament and the student union of the Musikhochschule Detmold. He later founded as a member of GDMK (Union of Music educator and a performing artist) the works of the music school Soest. After several years of teaching in Westphalia giant was appointed in 1989 as head of the music school Emden. Giant is married in second marriage with the artist Caladh.

Party

Riese is a member of the FDP since 1990. He was from 1994 to 2008 District Chairman of the FDP and Emden 1996-2014 District Chairman of the FDP Ems - Jade.

Member of Parliament

1991 giant was first elected to the Council of the City of Emden, where he served from 1991 to 1996 and from 2001 to 2006. After two nominations (1994 and 1998) he was first elected in 2003 in the Lower Saxony state parliament. In the 15th Lower Saxony state parliament he was a member of the Subcommittee on ports and shipping as well as the Commission for Foreigners. He was here a deputy member of the Committee on Petitions and the Committee on Science and Culture.

In the Lower Saxony state parliament election 2008 giant moved again over the national list of the FDP in the 16th Lower Saxony state parliament. He belonged to the sub-committee on ports and shipping. He also belonged to the Integration Commission of the Parliament, which continues the work of the Commission for Foreigners. Roland Giant was Chairman of the Committee on Social Affairs, Women, Family, Health and Integration.
