Rolf Edberg
Rolf Arne Edberg ( born September 29, 1950 in Stockholm ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player who played in his playing days from 1966 to 1985 among others for the Washington Capitals in the National Hockey League.

Career
Rolf Edberg began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of Hammarby IF, for the first team, he was active from 1966 to 1970. With his team he joined in 1967/68 season in the Division 1, the highest Swedish league, on, but had to accept the immediate re relegation to Division 2 with his team. Between 1970 and 1978 played the Center for AIK Solna, for which he in Division 1 and from the 1975/76 season in its successor league Elitserien was initially active. With AIK he was in season 1977/78 runners-up. For this success he was even at 19 scorer points, including seven goals in 29 games. In the same season he was elected to the Swedish All-Star Team and received the Guldpucken as the best Swedish player of the year.
On June 10, 1978 Edberg was taken as a free agent by the Washington Capitals under contract, for which he stood in the following three seasons in the National Hockey League on the ice. During this period he scored in 184 games 103 points scorer, with 45 goals. He then returned to his native Sweden and was with his former club AIK Solna in the 1981/82 season after his return instantly Swedish Champion. Last played the Swede from 1983 to 1985 for his hometown club Hammarby IF, with whom he rose in the 1983/84 season in the Elitserien and in the 1984/85 season had to accept the immediate re descent. He then finished his career at the age of 34 years.
Internationally
For Edberg Sweden participated exclusively in the junior level at the Under-19 European Junior Championships in 1969. In the senior level, he stood in his country's squad at the World Championships in 1977, 1978 and 1979. During the 1977 World Cup, he won the silver at the 1979 World Championships bronze medal.
