Rolf Majcen

Rolf Majcen (born 1966 in Johannesburg ) is a Lower Austrian jurist, author and extreme sports.

Biography

Majcen is a grandnephew of former general inspector Karl Majcen troops and a doctorate in law. From 1985 to 1998 he served as an officer in the Austrian Army.

He has published in national and international legal journals to national or international fund law and sports law. Also in Sport and Alpine magazines he wrote reports. His 2002 book, published victory in the mountains was the world's first book, documenting the ski mountaineering as a competitive sport and received a recognition of the Union Internationale des Associations d' Alpinisme ( UIAA ).

Majcen graduated in 1993 with the Austrian Army to train as air rescue and as Army mountain guide assistant, studied further in the following years and was admitted to the instructor cadre of the armed forces in 1995. He himself took part in competitions in different sports in 29 different countries in Europe, Asia and America and has been successful among others at World Championships, World Cups and European Cups in use. He was the first Austrian to ski mountaineering ( les grandes trois de ski de montagne ) participated in the three major competitions of the Alps, the Patrouille des Glaciers (2000 and 2004) of the Pierra Menta (2001) and the Trofeo Mezzalama ( 2003). In 2004, he and Hermann Kofler won the first Austrian World Cup ski mountaineering points for Austria. In the Alps, the Andes and in Africa, he made several ascents and won the CN Tower Run -Up in Toronto the "Major Stairclimb " title staircase. He ascended numerous high alpine mountain peaks and participated in various climbing, Eiskletterrouten, compete in mountain running.

Majcen was on business in the lawyer- General of the Alliance elementary Insurance Company Ltd, was capital markets lawyer in the legal department of the Giro Credit Bank AG Sparkassen and head of the legal department at the First Savings Invest Investment Gesellschaft mbH, a subsidiary of DekaBank German Girozentrale. He is currently a director of FTC Capital GmbH, the Legal and Compliance Officer in Alternative Investments, he had previously been already.

He is also a Director on the Board of a multi- subfund open-ended investment company and was from November 2006 to September 2007 Board Member of the Association of Alternative Investments (VAI ). Since October 2011, Majcen is also a board member of the Association of foreign investment companies in Austria. He currently lives with his family in Teesdorf.
