Rolf Ridderwall

Rolf Lennart " Riddarn " Ridder Wall ( born November 20, 1958) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey goaltender who played in his playing days from 1981 to 1994, among other things Djurgårdens IF and AIK in the Elitserien. His son Stefan and his nephew Calle are also professional hockey players.

Career

Rolf Ridder Wall began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Djurgårdens IF, for the first team he was in the Elitserien, the highest Swedish league, active from 1981 to 1990. With his team won the goalie for the seasons 1982/83, 1988/89 and 1989/90 respectively to the Swedish championship title. He was also in the 1984/85 season with his team runner-up. He too was successful in his time at Djurgårdens IF and dismissed in 1987 and 1988, the best fishing quota and in 1988 also the lowest Gegentorschnitt the Elitserien on. In 1990 he was also awarded the Guldpucken as the best player in the league.

From 1990 to 1992 Ridder Wall played for the team Boro in the then still second-class Division 1 Then he received for 1992/93 season a contract with AIK Solna from the Elitserien. With the team he had at Saisonden relegation to Division 1 accept, in him in 1994 with AIK Solna tried and failed to re- ascent. He then finished his career at the age of 35 years.

Internationally

For Sweden Ridder Wall took part in the World Championships in 1985, 1989, 1990 and 1991. In the 1990 World Cup, he won the silver at the 1991 World Championships gold medal with his team. In addition, he was in the squad of his country at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo and in 1984 and 1991 at the Canada Cup. At the Winter Games in 1984 he won the bronze medal with Sweden, the Canada Cup in 1984, he took his team to second place.
