Rollin R. Rees

Rollin Raymond Rees ( born January 10, 1865 in Camden, Preble County, Ohio, † May 30 1935 in Anaheim, California ) was an American politician ( Republican).

Rees moved in 1867 with his parents in Ottawa County, Kansas. He attended until 1885, the Agricultural College in Manhattan ( Kansas) and studied law. In 1887 he was admitted to the legal profession and practiced in Minneapolis (Kansas). From 1895 to 1899 Rees was prosecutor in Ottawa County. After that, he was from 1899 to 1903 a member of the Kansas House of Representatives from 1903 to 1910 and judge in the 13th Judicial District.

1910 Rees resigned his judge post to run for the 62nd Congress. After his successful election, he represented there on 4 March 1911 to 3 March 1913 the state of Kansas in the U.S. House of Representatives. In the elections of 1912, the 63rd Congress, he could not defend his seat. Rees now began to practice law again in Minneapolis. He later moved to California and worked in the banking industry and livestock. He died on May 30, 1935 in Anaheim, and was buried at Fairhaven Cemetery in Orange.
