Rolls-Royce 100 EX

The Rolls -Royce 100 EX is a concept car, the Rolls- Royce built in 2004. EX stands for experimental model. The car had:

The car was built to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the meeting between the businessman Charles Rolls and engineer Henry Royce. The data of the car speak for itself, however, the fact that the Spirit of Ecstasy made ​​of solid silver 2.1 m from the driver is mounted at a distance, to give an impression of the actual dimensions of this car. The manufacturer did not say anything about the engine performance, but the trade press guessed her to be about 700 bhp (515 kW) and torque to 950 Nm. Rolls- Royce 101 EX

2006 Rolls- Royce 101 EX, a GT coupe prototype based on the 100 EX was shown at the Geneva Motor Show. The 101 EX had the same aluminum " space frame " as the Rolls- Royce Phantom ( 2003), but in a shortened version. The car was 241 mm shorter than the Phantom sedan and had a lower roofline. He also had the engine of the Phantom, a 6.75 -liter V12. The production version of this concept vehicle, the Phantom Coupé debuted at the Geneva Motor Show 2008.

The 101 EX appeared in an episode of the British TV motoring magazine Top Gear where Jeremy Clarkson primed him for his illuminated headliner as the " Rolls- Royce Vulgarsonic ".
