Rom, Germany
Rome is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Parchimer surrounding headquartered in Parchim.

Geography and transport
The municipality is located 7 km east of Parchim and seven kilometers west of Lübz. Federal highway 191 runs through the community. The Federal Highway 24 is accessible via the junction Parchim ( 18 km). The municipality is bounded to the south by the Müritz- Elde waterway. In the northern part there is the Darzer High Moor and the Wockertal.
The municipality of Rome include the districts Darze, Small Niendorf, Lancken, Paarsch, Rome and Stralendorf.
History
Lancken as the oldest village of the municipality of Rome was first documented in 1229.
Name
Rome 1310 Rome villa, 1320 called in Roma et Moedericz in 1329 and Rome in 1621 Rohm. The name comes from the Slavic and refers to the locator: City of Rome.
Incorporations
On 13 June 2004 Stralendorf was incorporated.
