Romain Schneider

Romain Schneider ( born April 15, 1962 in Wiltz ) is a Luxembourgian politician.

Romain Schneider is a member of the Social Democratic LSAP since 1981. At the local level he was a 1994-1999 member of the municipal council of the town of Wiltz. From 1999 to 2009 he was mayor of the municipality. At the national level, he was first elected to the Luxembourg Parliament in 2004. From 2004 to 2009 he was general secretary of his party. In 2009 he was re-elected to Parliament and appointed Minister for Agriculture, Viticulture and Rural Development as well as for sport. He was also delegated Minister for the area social economy. Since December 2013 he is still Minister for Sport. In addition, he is in the government begging Schneider Minister for Social Security and Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs.

Professionally, he was a civil servant with the Luxembourg Employment Agency ( Adem ).
