Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Caceres

The Archdiocese of Caceres (Latin: Archidioecesis Cacerensis ) is a location in the Philippines Roman Catholic archdiocese based in Naga City.

History

The Archdiocese of Caceres was established on August 14, 1595 by Pope Clement VIII with the Apostolic Constitution Super specula militantis Ecclesiae out of territory of the Archdiocese of Manila as a diocese and the Archdiocese of Caceres Manila is a suffragan. On June 29, 1951, the Diocese of Caceres were parts of its territory from establishing the Dioceses Legazpi and Sorsogon.

The Diocese of Caceres was born on June 29, 1951 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quo in Republica Filipina archbishopric. On 9 December 1989, the Archdiocese of Caceres gave parts of its territory establishing the Territorialprälatur Libmanan.

The Archdiocese of Caceres includes the province of Camarines Sur.
