Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Managua

The Archdiocese of Managua (Latin: Archidioecesis Managuensis, Spanish: Arquidiócesis de Managua) is a location in Nicaragua Roman Catholic archdiocese based in Managua.

History

The Archdiocese of Managua was established on December 2, 1913 by Pope Pius X with the Papal Bull Quum iuxta apostolicum effatum out of territory of the diocese of León de Nicaragua. On 19 December 1924, the Archdiocese of Managua were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Matagalpa.
