Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne

The Archdiocese of Melbourne (Latin: Archidioecesis Melburnensis ) is a Roman Catholic Archdiocese in Australia, based in Melbourne.

The Archdiocese of Melbourne was dissolved on 25 June 1847 the Archdiocese of Sydney and erected as a diocese of Melbourne. 1874, the dioceses of Ballarat and Sandhurst was outsourced. On March 31, 1874, the survey was conducted to the archbishopric. In 1887 the diocese was carved Sale.

Mapped since 1982 the Eparchy of Saints Peter and Paul in Melbourne of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, which is led since 1992 by Bishop Peter Stasiuk.
