The Archdiocese of Montpellier ( - Lodève, Béziers, Agde, e Saint -Pons -de- Thomières ), Latin: Archidioecesis Montis Pessulani ( - Lotevensis - Biterrensis - Agathensis - Sancti Pontii Thomeriarum ) is a located in France Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church based in Montpellier.

Territory

The area of the Archdiocese located in the French region of Languedoc -Roussillon and complies with the limits of the department of Hérault match. History

The diocese was founded in the 3rd century as a diocese Maguelone in the department of Herault and moved on March 27, 1536 its headquarters to Montpellier.
