Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Oklahoma City

The Archdiocese of Oklahoma City (Latin: Archidioecesis Oklahomapolitana ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Oklahoma City in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.

It found its beginnings in the 179.391 km ² Apostolic Prefecture of Indian Territory, which was erected on 14 May 1876, collected on 29 May 1891 an apostolic vicariate. Collected on August 23, 1905 Diocese of Oklahoma and the Archdiocese of San Antonio assumed the diocese changed its name on November 14, 1930 at Oklahoma City - Tulsa. On December 13, 1972 Tulsa was separated with 68.394 km ² as an independent diocese and Oklahoma City to the Archdiocese and Metropolitan seat.
