The Archdiocese of Salerno- Campagna - Acerno (Latin: Archidioecesis Salernitanus - Campaniensis - Acernensis, Italian: Arcidiocesi di Salerno- Campagna - Acerno ) is a located in Italy Roman Catholic archdiocese based in Salerno.

History

The Archdiocese of Salerno- Campagna - Acerno was built in the 6th century as the Diocese of Salerno. In the year 983 the bishopric of Salerno was raised to an archbishopric. On July 20, 1098 Pope Urban II awarded with the Papal Bull singulars semper the Archbishop of Salerno the title of Primate of the Kingdom of Naples.

The Archdiocese of Salerno was incorporated into the diocese by Pope Pius VII Acerno with the Apostolic Constitution En utiliori on 27 June 1818.
