Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Sassari
The Archdiocese of Sassari (Latin: Archidioecesis Turritanus, Italian: Arcidiocesi di Sassari ) is a location in Sardinia diocese of the Roman Catholic Church.
It is the metropolitan diocese of the Ecclesiastical Province of Sassari in the church Sardinia region, its suffragan bishoprics are the Alghero - Bosa, Ozieri and Tempio - Ampurias.
History
The Diocese of Sassari dates from the 5th century. In 1073 it was raised to an archbishopric.
