Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Spoleto-Norcia

The Archdiocese of Spoleto - Norcia (Latin: Archidioecesis Spoletanus - Nursinus, Italian: Arcidiocesi di Spoleto - Norcia ) is an Archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Italy, based in Spoleto.

It was founded in the 1st century as a diocese of Spoleto, which rose on January 5, 1821 in the rank of an archbishopric, to be without a seat metropolitans. After a sharp decline in the population, and thus the diocesan, the archbishopric was incorporated as part of the reorganization of the Italian dioceses on 30 September 1986 with the Diocese of Norcia. In the following years, many parishes were dissolved and the number of diocesan and religious priests continued to decline.
