Roman Catholic Diocese of Ahmedabad
The Diocese of Ahmedabad (Latin: Dioecesis Ahmedabadensis ) is a located in India Roman Catholic diocese based in Ahmedabad.
History
The Diocese of Ahmedabad was on 5 May 1949 by Pope Pius XII. built with the Apostolic Constitution Bombayensis Archidioecesis of cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Bombay, and this is a suffragan. On February 26, 1977, the Diocese of Ahmedabad were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Rajkot. A further transfer of territory took place on 11 November 2002 founding of the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar. On 11 November 2002, the Diocese of Ahmedabad was the Archdiocese of Gandhinagar is a suffragan.
