History

The Diocese of Alba was built in the 4th century. 1803, the diocese of Alba was dissolved and the territory was annexed to the bishopric of Asti. On July 17, 1817, the diocese of Alba was built again by Pope Pius VII, with the Apostolic Constitution Beati Petri.
