Roman Catholic Diocese of Bathurst

The Diocese of Bathurst (Latin: Dioecesis Bathurstensis ) is a location in Australia diocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Bathurst, New South Wales.

History

Pope Pius IX. founded it on June 20, 1865 from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Sydney, where it was assumed as a suffragan. On 10 May 1887, lost part of its territory to the diocese of Wilcannia.
