Roman Catholic Diocese of Bauchi

The Diocese of Bauchi (Latin: Dioecesis Bauchianus ) is a location in Nigeria Roman Catholic diocese based in Bauchi.

History

The Diocese of Bauchi was built on 5 July 1996 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Laudamus Dominum out of territory of the Archdiocese of Jos as Apostolic Vicariate of Bauchi. The Apostolic Vicariate of Bauchi was brought on 31 December 2003 by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Actuosae Evangelizationis to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Jos is a suffragan.
