History
The Diocese of Brownsville was posted on July 10, 1965 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ex quo tempore of cessions of territory of the Diocese of Corpus Christi and the Archdiocese of San Antonio is a suffragan. On December 29, 2004, the Diocese of Brownsville was the Archdiocese Galveston - Houston is a suffragan.
