History

The Diocese of Camden was born on December 9, 1937 by Pope Pius XI. with the Apostolic Constitution Ad maius animarum built out of territory of the Diocese of Trenton and the Archdiocese of Newark, is a suffragan.

The Diocese of Camden includes the areas located in the state of New Jersey Atlantic County, Camden County, Cape May County, Cumberland County, Gloucester County, and Salem County.
