Roman Catholic Diocese of Cartagena

The Diocese of Cartagena (Latin: Dioecesis Carthaginensis in Hispania ) is a location in Spain Roman Catholic diocese based in Murcia.

History

The Diocese of Cartagena was built in the 1st century. On July 9 1492 the diocese of Cartagena was the archbishopric of Valencia is a suffragan. The Diocese of Cartagena was on July 14, 1564 from parts of its territory to the foundation of the diocese of Orihuela. 1851, the Diocese of Cartagena was the Archdiocese of Granada is a suffragan. On November 2, 1949, the Diocese of Cartagena were parts of its territory from the foundation of the diocese of Albacete.
