Roman Catholic Diocese of Catarman

The Diocese of Catarman (Latin: Dioecesis Catarmaniensis ) is a community on the island of Samar in the Philippines Roman Catholic diocese based in Catarman. It includes the province of Northern Samar.

History

Pope Paul VI. founded it with the apostolic constitution Quae ampliores on December 5, 1974 from annexations of the dioceses and Bacolod Calbayog and it became the Archdiocese of Cebu as a suffragan assumed.

On November 15, 1982, there was the Archdiocese of Palo assumed as suffragan.
