Roman Catholic Diocese of Changde
The Diocese of Changde (Latin: Dioecesis Ciamteanus ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Changde.
History
The Diocese of Changde was born on September 19, 1879 by Pope Leo XIII. established as Apostolic Vicariate of Hunan. On 3 December 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate of Hunan was renamed Vicariate Apostolic Changde.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Changde was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Changsha is a suffragan.
