Roman Catholic Diocese of Chioggia

The Diocese of Chioggia (Latin: Dioecesis Clodiensis, Italian: Diocese of Chioggia ) is a diocese of the Roman Catholic Church to the Italian town of Chioggia.

It is a suffragan of the Patriarchate of Venice and includes 68 parishes. The bishopric was established in the 7th century and based in Malamocco. As a result of a natural disaster laid Bishop Enrico Gran Carlo based probably around 1106/ 07 to Chioggia, where he built the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, which was completed in 1110.
