Roman Catholic Diocese of Chios

The Diocese of Chios (Latin: Dioecesis Chiensis ) is a location in Greece diocese of the Roman Catholic Church.

It was founded in the 13th century and belongs to the Ecclesiastical Province of Naxos - Tinos.

Covering an area of ​​4116 km ², it covers the administrative regions North Aegean with the eastern Aegean islands (Lesbos, Chios Psara, Samos and Ikaria with Fourni and Thymena ) and the northern Aegean island of Limnos.

The diocese now has no clergy and the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Naxos - Tinos, who is also the Apostolic Administrator of Chios, also managed.

The cathedral is dedicated to St. Nicholas, who is also patron of the diocese. The Catholic church is still on Lesbos and Samos.
