Roman Catholic Diocese of Ciudad Real

The diocese of Ciudad Real ( Latin: Dioecesis Civitatis Regalensis ) is a location in Spain Roman Catholic diocese based in Ciudad Real.

History

The diocese of Ciudad Real was born on November 18, 1875 by Pope Pius IX. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ad Apostolicam as Territorialprälatur Ciudad Real. On February 4, 1980, the Territorialprälatur Ciudad Real was elevated by Pope John Paul II with the Apostolic Constitution Constat militarium to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Toledo is a suffragan.
