The Diocese of Cleveland (Latin: Dioecesis Clevelandensis ) is a located in the United States Roman Catholic diocese based in Cleveland, Ohio.
History
The Diocese of Cleveland was born on April 23, 1847 by Pope Pius IX. built out of territory of the diocese of Cincinnati. On April 15, 1910, the Diocese of Cleveland were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Toledo. Another area assignment was on May 15, 1943 founding of the Diocese of Youngstown. The Diocese of Cleveland is the Archdiocese of Cincinnati is a suffragan.
