Roman Catholic Diocese of Daejeon
The Diocese of Daejeon (Latin: Dioecesis Taeieonensis, kor. 천주교 대전 교구 ) is located in South Korea, Roman Catholic diocese based in Daejeon.
History
The Diocese of Daejeon was posted on June 23, 1958 by Pope Pius XII. with the Apostolic Constitution Sacro suadente built out of territory of the Apostolic Vicariate of Seoul as Apostolic Vicariate Daijeon. On March 10, 1962, the Apostolic Vicariate Daijeon was by Pope John XXIII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Fertile Gospel to the diocese and renamed Diocese of Daejeon. It was the Archdiocese of Seoul, is a suffragan.
