Roman Catholic Diocese of Darwin

The Diocese of Darwin (Latin: Dioecesis Darvinensis ) is a location in Australia diocese of the Roman Catholic church located in Darwin.

It was founded in 1845 as the Apostolic Vicariate of the Archdiocese of Sydney Essington from areas to which it is subject to this day as suffragan. Already collected on May 27, 1847 Diocese of calling it henceforth Victoria, but moved already on August 10, 1888 his name on Diocese of Victoria - Palmerston and only on March 29, 1938 Diocese of Darwin, which at the same time a relocation of the bishopric from Victoria to Darwin was connected.
