The Diocese of El Paso (Latin: Dioecesis Elpasensis ) is a located in the United States Roman Catholic diocese based in El Paso, Texas.

History

The Diocese of El Paso was established on March 3, 1914 by Pope Pius X. territorial concessions from the dioceses of Dallas, San Antonio and Tucson. On October 16, 1961, the Diocese of El Paso were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of San Angelo. A further transfer of territory on 17 August 1982 foundation of the diocese of Las Cruces.

The Diocese of El Paso is the Archdiocese of San Antonio is a suffragan.
