Roman Catholic Diocese of Huánuco

The diocese of Huánuco (Latin: Dioecesis Huanucensis ) is located in the northern Peruvian Andes Roman Catholic diocese based in Huanuco.

History

The diocese of Huánuco was built from cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Lima on 17 March 1865. There were several times in its history, parts of its territory from the creation of new dioceses. The diocese of Huánuco is the Archdiocese of Huancayo is a suffragan.

The diocese comprises the Huánuco region.
