Roman Catholic Diocese of Iguatu

The diocese Iguatu (Latin: Dioecesis Iguatuvina ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Iguatu in the state of Ceará.

History

Pope John XXIII. founded it on 28 January 1961, the Apostolic Constitution In apostolicis out of territory of the Diocese of Crato and Archdiocese of Fortaleza, where it was assumed as a suffragan.

On September 28, 1963, lost part of its territory to the diocese Crateús.
