History

The Diocese of Inhambane was born on August 3, 1962 by Pope John XXIII. built with the Apostolic Constitution Supremi muneris of cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Lourenço Marques. It is the Archdiocese of Maputo is a suffragan.
