Roman Catholic Diocese of Isangi
The diocese Isangi (Latin: Dioecesis Isangiensis ) is a location in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Roman Catholic diocese based in Isangi.
History
The diocese Isangi was on June 14, 1951 by Pope Pius XII. inter- cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate Basankusu, Lisala and Stanleyville built with the Apostolic Constitution Enascentium as Apostolic Prefecture Isangi. On July 2, 1962, the Apostolic Prefecture Isangi was by Pope John XXIII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Decessorum Nostrorum to the diocese.
The diocese is the Archdiocese of Kisangani Isangi a suffragan.
