Roman Catholic Diocese of Kielce

The Diocese of Kielce (Latin: Dioecesis Kielcensis, poln: Diecezja Kielecka ) is located in Poland Roman Catholic diocese based in Kielce.

History

The Diocese of Kielce was established on June 13, 1805 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Indefensum personarum out of territory of the archbishopric of Gniezno and the bishoprics of Cracow and Chelm. On June 18, 1818 Diocese of Kielce was dissolved. From the territory of the Diocese of Sandomierz was established by Pius VII with the Papal Bull Ex imposita nobis.

On December 28, 1882, the Diocese of Kielce was by Pope Leo XIII. built with the Papal Bull Ut primum Catholicae Ecclesiae again. The Diocese of Kielce was on October 28, 1925 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Diocese of Częstochowa. At the same time the diocese of Kielce was the Archdiocese of Krakow is a suffragan. Following the Apostolic Constitution issued by Pope John Paul II Totus Tuus Poloniae populus gave the bishopric of Kielce on 25 March 1992 parts of its territory to the founding of the Diocese of Sosnowiec from.
