Roman Catholic Diocese of Laohekou
The diocese Laohekou (Latin: Dioecesis Laohocheuvensis ) is a location in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Laohekou.
History
The diocese Laohekou was taken on September 2, 1870 as a result of the division of the Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Vicariate Hubei in the north-western Hubei, South-West Hubei and eastern Hubei. The Apostolic Vicariate of Northwest Hubei was renamed on December 3, 1924 in Apostolic Vicariate Laohekou. On May 25, 1936, the Apostolic Vicariate of Laohekou were from parts of its territory establishing the Apostolic Xiangyang Prefecture.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Laohekou was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Hankow is a suffragan.
