Roman Catholic Diocese of Limoges

The diocese of Limoges (Latin: Dioecesis Lemovicensis ) is a located in France Roman Catholic diocese based in Limoges.

History

The diocese of Limoges was built in the 1st century and the Archbishopric of Bourges is a suffragan. On July 11, 1317 the Diocese of Limoges were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Tulle. The diocese of Limoges were annexed in 1801 parts of the territory of the Diocese of Tulle on November 29. On October 6, 1822 Diocese of Limoges were parts of its territory from the re-establishment of the Diocese of Tulle. The diocese of Limoges was placed under the Archdiocese of Poitiers suffragan on 16 December 2002.
