Roman Catholic Diocese of Lomas de Zamora

The Diocese of Lomas de Zamora (Latin: Dioecesis Clivi Zamorensis, Spanish: diócesis de Lomas de Zamora ) is a location in Argentina Roman Catholic diocese based in Lomas de Zamora.

History

The Diocese of Lomas de Zamora was born on February 11, 1957 by Pope John XXIII. built with the Papal Bull Quandoquidem adoranda out of territory of the Archdiocese of La Plata and the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires is a suffragan. On April 10, 1961, the Diocese of Lomas de Zamora were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Avellaneda. Another area assignment was on 18 July 1969 on the establishment of the Diocese of San Justo. On 24 April 2001 further areas to the diocese Avellaneda - Lanús were assigned.
