Roman Catholic Diocese of Maasin

The Diocese of Maasin (Latin: Dioecesis Maasinensis ) is a location in the Philippines Roman Catholic diocese based in Maasin City. It includes the province of Southern Leyte and the communities Matalom, Bato, Hilongos, Hindang, Inopacan and Baybay in the province of Leyte.

History

The Diocese of Maasin was born on March 23, 1968 by Pope Paul VI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Dei filium of cessions of territory of the diocese and the Archdiocese of Palo Cebu is a suffragan.
