Roman Catholic Diocese of Mati

The Diocese of Mati (Latin: Dioecesis Matiensis ) is a location in the Philippines in the southern island of Mindanao Roman Catholic diocese based in Mati City. It includes the Philippine province of Davao Oriental.

History

Pope John Paul II founded it with the Apostolic Constitution Episcopus Tagamnus on 16 February 1984 cession of territory of the Diocese of Tagum and it became the Archdiocese of Davao assumed as suffragan.
