The Diocese of Memphis (Latin: Dioecesis Memphitana in Tennesia ) is a location in Tennessee in the United States Roman Catholic diocese based in Memphis.
History
Pope Paul VI. founded it on 20 June 1970 has annexations of the diocese Nashville and was the Archdiocese of Louisville assumed as suffragan.
Territory
The Diocese of Memphis includes the counties of Benton, Carroll, Chester, Crockett, Decatur, Dyer, Fayette, Gibson, Hardeman, Hardin, Haywood, Henderson, Henry, Lake, Lauderdale, Madison, McNairy, Obion, Shelby, Tipton and Weakley of the State of Tennessee.
