Roman Catholic Diocese of Molegbe
The diocese Molegbe (Latin: Dioecesis Molegbensis ) is a location in the Democratic Republic of the Congo Roman Catholic diocese based in Molegbe.
History
The diocese was erected Molegbe 7th April 1911 by Pope Pius X. territorial concessions from the Apostolic Vicariate of Léopoldville as Apostolic Prefecture Ubanghi Belga. The Apostolic Prefecture Ubanghi Belga was posted on January 28, 1935 by Pope Pius XI. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quaevis inter Infideles Apostolic Vicariate.
On November 10, 1959, the Apostolic Vicariate Ubanghi Belga was by Pope John XXIII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Cum parvulum to the diocese and renamed diocese Molegbe. It was the Archdiocese of Mbandaka - Bikoro a suffragan.
