Roman Catholic Diocese of Novara

The diocese of Novara (Latin: Dioecesis Novariensis, Italian: Diocese of Novara) is located in Italy Roman Catholic diocese based in Novara.

History

The diocese of Novara was built in 398 by Pope Siricius and the Archdiocese of Milan is a suffragan. On March 14, 1530, the Diocese of Novara were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Vigevano.

The diocese of Novara was a suffragan to the archdiocese of Vercelli on 17 July 1817.

2007, three parishes were built for the Extraordinary form of the Roman Rite in the Diocese of Novara as a result of the Motu Summorum Pontificum proprios.
